

ITranslate is an essential application for any trip abroad, and it will get you out of trouble when you need to communicate with people in a foreign languages. In addition to performing instant translations, the application also lets you save a few phrases in certain languages to your favourites, so you can access them whenever you need to without problems. ECEC professionals have developed professional learning communities as a pathway in reaching preschool children and their families. Preschools are developing and implementing different types of activities for children and their families (in Roma settlements, in kindergartens). What – Organization, where I am employed, Educational Research Institute, is involved in a project in which preschools are trying to invite Roma preschool children and their families to preschools: The Increase in Social and Cultural Capital in Areas with a Roma population (2010-2013, co-funded by European Social Found, Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport). One of the key and crucial aspects contributing to the success of the research has been the open and appreciative relationship between stakeholders and members of the project team. This chapter also shows how the project team gained expertise in the active and intensive cooperation with a diverse group of stakeholders.

With the assistance of experts in methodology, the project team developed insights into combining diverse forms of formative evaluation and data processing. This model is used to discuss the different phases of the research process, the involvement of stakeholders during the whole research project, the role of the project team, and the ‘unpredictability’ of the project’s outcomes.
